Doha - Moroccan Foreign Minister, Taib Fassi Fihri, said, here Sunday, that Maghreb countries (Algeria, Libya, Mauritania, Morocco and Tunisia) share a firm vision to overcome inter-Arab disagreements that arose during the recent Israeli aggression against Gaza.
"Maghreb states have a firm vision and hope to contribute to overcoming certain disagreements and difficulties that arose in the aftermath of the aggression against Gaza," Fassi Fihri told the press.

On the eve of the 21st Arab Summit, Maghreb foreign ministers held, Sunday morning, a consultation meeting to examine the Arab Maghreb Union (AMU)'s agenda and coordinate stances with regard to meetings in which the AMU will take part, particularly at regional level.
The meeting also discussed issues relating the Union’s organs, notably the general secretariat and its budget, Fassi Fihri said, stressing the need to go beyond meetings held on the sidelines of regional or international events.
The Moroccan delegation to this meeting insisted on holding similar meetings in Morocco, which hosts the AMU headquarters, to examine issues related to the Maghreb and impediments to the union process, he said.
During this meeting, the AMU Secretary-General, Habib Benyahya, gave an overview of the Maghreb sectoral meetings.
The Arab summit, due on Monday and Tuesday, is expected to discuss a number of regional issues, especially inter-Arab reconciliation, Palestinian dialogue and the Arab peace initiative, as well as other economic and social issues.
