|Tunisian filter manufacturer to open plant in Algeria

The Tunisian car filter company GIF Filter will soon open a plant in Algeria. The company which produces fuel and oil filters for cars, is expanding its operations in Algeria thanks to an investment made possible by the Maghreb Private Equity Fund II (MPEF II) of an amount of some 124,5 million Euros.
MPEF II which was launched by the Tuninvest Finance Group (TFG), focuses on investments in medium- sized enterprises in Algeria, Morocco and Tunisia, but also in Libya .
The Fund was launched in 2006 with the participation among other institutions of the African Development Bank (ADB) and the European Investment Bank (EIB). Beneficiaries are companies in the ICT, energy and service sectors.
